Our Training Programs

From first flights to advanced ratings and proficiency training, explore our full range of flight training programs below.

Introductor Flight Experience

A Discovery Flight is the perfect way to experience flying firsthand. You’ll fly with one of our certified flight instructors and take the controls of the aircraft while learning the basics of how an airplane flies. This introductory lesson is designed for anyone curious about aviation—no prior experience required.

Whether you’re exploring flight training, considering a pilot certificate, or simply want to see what flying is all about, a Discovery Flight offers a fun, informative, and unforgettable introduction to aviation.

Private Pilot License Training

The Private Pilot License is your first step toward becoming a pilot. This program teaches you the fundamentals of flying, including aircraft control, navigation, weather, flight planning, and safe decision-making. You’ll train with certified flight instructors through a combination of flight lessons and ground instruction.

Earning your Private Pilot License allows you to fly solo and carry passengers for personal or recreational travel. Whether your goal is to fly for fun, take family and friends on trips, or continue toward advanced ratings, the PPL provides the skills, knowledge, and confidence to fly safely and responsibly.

Instrument Rating Course

The Instrument Rating course is designed to help pilots fly safely and confidently in a wider range of weather conditions. This training focuses on flying by reference to instruments, advanced navigation, weather interpretation, and cockpit decision-making, all while operating in the National Airspace System.

Working with certified flight instructors, you’ll combine flight training and ground instruction to master instrument procedures and approaches. Earning your Instrument Rating enhances safety, sharpens precision, and expands your flying capabilities—making it one of the most valuable ratings a pilot can achieve.

Commercial Pilot License Program

The Commercial Pilot License program prepares pilots to fly with a higher level of skill, precision, and professionalism. This course focuses on advanced flight maneuvers, complex aircraft operations, aeronautical decision-making, and refined aircraft control, all while building the experience required to meet commercial standards.

Training is conducted with certified flight instructors through a combination of flight and ground instruction. Earning a Commercial Pilot License allows pilots to be compensated for flying and serves as a key milestone for those pursuing professional aviation careers, including flight instruction and other commercial opportunities.

Flight Reviews

A Flight Review is required every 24 calendar months to act as pilot in command and is designed to help pilots maintain proficiency and safety. The review includes a combination of ground discussion and flight time with a certified flight instructor, covering regulations, procedures, and maneuvers relevant to your flying.

Our Flight Reviews are tailored to each pilot’s experience level and goals, providing a relaxed, educational environment focused on improving skills and confidence. Whether you fly regularly or are returning after time away, a Flight Review is a valuable opportunity to sharpen your abilities and fly with confidence.

Instrument Proficiency Checks

An Instrument Proficiency Check is designed for instrument-rated pilots who need to regain or maintain instrument currency. The IPC includes a combination of ground instruction and flight training with a certified flight instructor, focusing on instrument procedures, approaches, holds, and decision-making in instrument conditions.

Each IPC is tailored to the pilot’s experience and proficiency level, providing a supportive environment to refresh skills and rebuild confidence. Whether you’ve been away from instrument flying for a short time or longer, an IPC helps ensure you’re prepared to operate safely and confidently under IFR.

Cross-Country Navigation Skills

Cross-Country Navigation Skills training helps pilots build confidence and proficiency when flying beyond the local training area. This course focuses on flight planning, navigation techniques, airspace awareness, weather evaluation, fuel management, and in-flight decision-making.

Training is tailored to each pilot’s experience level and may include both ground instruction and flight time with a certified flight instructor. Whether you’re preparing for a checkride, working toward advanced ratings, or simply looking to become a more capable and confident cross-country pilot, this training enhances real-world flying skills and situational awareness.

Advanced Glass Cockpit Training

Advanced Glass Cockpit Training is designed to help pilots become confident and proficient when operating aircraft equipped with modern avionics. This training focuses on effective use of Primary Flight Displays (PFD), Multi-Function Displays (MFD), automation management, and proper integration of avionics into real-world flying.

Instruction includes both ground and flight training with a certified flight instructor, tailored to each pilot’s experience level. Whether you’re transitioning from steam gauges, preparing for instrument flying, or refining automation management skills, this course improves situational awareness, workload management, and safe decision-making in technologically advanced aircraft.

Safety & Emergency Procedures

Safety & Emergency Procedures training is designed to help pilots prepare for abnormal and emergency situations through practical, scenario-based instruction. This course focuses on aircraft systems knowledge, emergency checklists, risk management, and decision-making to ensure pilots are prepared to respond calmly and effectively.

Training includes both ground and flight instruction with a certified flight instructor and is tailored to the pilot’s experience level. Whether you’re a student pilot or an experienced aviator seeking a refresher, this training builds confidence, sharpens situational awareness, and reinforces safe operating practices.

Weather & Flight Planning Checks

Weather & Flight Planning Checks help pilots strengthen their ability to evaluate weather conditions and plan safe, efficient flights. This training focuses on interpreting aviation weather reports and forecasts, assessing risks, selecting appropriate routes and altitudes, and making informed go/no-go decisions.

Instruction includes ground-based scenario discussions and may include flight training with a certified flight instructor, tailored to the pilot’s experience level. Whether you’re preparing for a checkride, returning to flying after time away, or simply looking to sharpen your planning skills, this training reinforces sound judgment and safe decision-making.

CFI Rating Course

The Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) Rating Course prepares experienced pilots to teach and mentor the next generation of aviators. This course focuses on advanced aeronautical knowledge, effective teaching techniques, lesson planning, and the ability to clearly explain complex aviation concepts.

Training includes both ground and flight instruction with experienced instructors and is tailored to each candidate’s experience level. Whether you’re pursuing flight instruction as a career path or looking to expand your aviation credentials, earning your CFI rating builds professionalism, instructional skill, and a deeper understanding of aviation fundamentals.

Radio Communication Mastery

Radio Communication Mastery training helps pilots develop clear, confident, and effective communication with air traffic control and other aircraft. This course focuses on proper phraseology, radio procedures, airspace communication requirements, and real-world scenarios to reduce workload and improve situational awareness.

Instruction includes guided practice through ground training and in-flight scenarios with a certified flight instructor, tailored to each pilot’s experience level. Whether you’re a new student building confidence or an experienced pilot seeking refinement, this training improves clarity, professionalism, and confidence on the radio.

Night Flying Proficiency

Night Flying Proficiency training helps pilots build confidence and skill when operating aircraft after dark. This course focuses on night-specific procedures, visual illusions, airport lighting systems, navigation techniques, and risk management to ensure safe and effective night operations.

Training includes both ground instruction and flight time with a certified flight instructor and is tailored to each pilot’s experience level. Whether you’re completing night requirements, preparing for a checkride, or seeking to enhance your overall proficiency, this training improves situational awareness and confidence during nighttime flying.
